Rasberry PI

Hi,

Not sure if this is the correct section, I’m looking at setting up a Rasberry PI 5 for my Homey, I looked but didn’t see anything in the forum or knowledge base so I was hoping someone here would have any info on what OS I need to install on my PI so I can run Homey Dashboard.

Thanks all.

Android, as it’s part of the Homey App.
Also, not the most descriptive title for your question.

Btw. if you install LineageOS, you still don’t hav a OS that has Google Play, so no store and no Homey App.

Been trying the same on a tablet-like Pc, but didn’t get the Homey app on it..

You can use the Aurora Store to get apps on a non-Google Play system image. I do that on my Android Emulator on my PC to download apps for reverse engineering

It’s a Play Store client that doesn’t need Google services or a Google account

Does the Aurora Store have the Homey app ?

Yes, you can install any app from the Play Store. It doesn’t need an Google account either

Thank you all for the replies…

I am currently working on installing LineageOS and using the Aurora Store if I can’t get the Homey app to install. I’ve also found EmteriaOS but its a subscription based service but that does mean its developed.

Yes, I also have that issue with installing apps. Do you get the SSL error? Then you just need to click OK and then just click Install again until it fully downloads. It will continue where it left off.
