Question about switching my diesel heater on and off

Good day, In my garage I have a diesel heater. I switch the heater on and off using s switchbot bot to push the button on the heater control panel. Which works well. However I would like to automate and have the heater switched on for 6 hours per day. But I do not really trust the stability of the switchbot bot. And if it misses a ‘switch’ then it works the other way around.

So I am trying to find a solution here. I have thought about using an INNR switch and the look at the power consumption and if there is almost no power consumption I would know the heater is switched off and the I could activate and later deactivate. But I do not see a possibility to look at power consumption on the INNR switch . And maybe there is a better solution…

what happens with the heater when it is on and the power is turned off and back on?
if it stays off then you can turn the heater off with a smartplug and on with the switchbot.

No that is not possible. If the power is off and you switch it on the controller wil be on but the heater will not start. I could after a 1 minute wait have the Switchbot bot turn the heater on however. The problem with this solution is that if I remove power on the heater when it is operating it will not be able to cool down and therefore overheat… But thanks for the suggestion
