I’ve created a Plex “device” and successfully logged in to my server. However, the device tile appears empty, and when I click on it, it only shows:
“All Good. This device works fine but you cannot control it.”
Is this the expected behaviour? The app description says “View what’s currently playing…” so I expected to see that information when clicking or tapping the tile.
I created a simple flow that sends a push notification to my phone with the player ID and the media currently playing, and that works, meaning the app works. But what I really need is some kind of live overview showing what is playing and on which device to monitor the kids, not just a notification when playback starts.
I guess I could go the “Enhanced Device Widget” way, create one for each player based on the device ID or IP address and have the widgets update dynamically on play/pause/stop actions… but that means yet another dashboard.
