[App][Pro] Jellycontrol — bring your Jellyfin server into Homey 🎬

Hi everyone,

Jellycontrol is now live in the App Store: :backhand_index_pointing_right: Jellycontrol | Homey

It connects your self-hosted Jellyfin media server to Homey. You add one device per Jellyfin user, and playback control automatically follows that user to whichever client they’re currently watching on.

What it does

  • :play_button: Control: play/pause, volume, mute, skip, chapter jump, audio & subtitle track
  • :clapper_board: Now Playing: title, poster/album art, position & runtime
  • :bar_chart: Server: library counts (movies/series/episodes), active streams, transcoding, uptime
  • :high_voltage: Flows: triggers for play/pause/stop, progress milestones, “X minutes before end”, new library items, transcoding start, and more
  • :puzzle_piece: Widgets: server overview + now playing

Runs fully local on Homey Pro — no cloud. Unofficial app, not affiliated with the Jellyfin Foundation.

Feedback, bugs and feature requests very welcome in this thread! :raising_hands:

Hello,

Good to see an new app for Jellyfin, great work.

I see triggers for when a user starts, pauzes, resumes or stops. For players, only starts or stops playing. Would it be possible to have pauze/resume for players also?

If not would be possible with the user actions to have a condition that checks what player he’s using.

Greetings,

Hi!
i am really happy you like it! i will definitely look into it today! But yeah makes sense to have it for players too

Hi @Rudy_De_Vylder
It’s now in testing and submitted for Certification

Looking forward to it, thank you!

Greetings,

Hi @Rudy_De_Vylder. The new version is now live in the Stable channel in the App-Store

Installed and implemented.
Thank you!

Hi. :waving_hand:

It looks really good, and am actually writing you to see if you could make a similar one, but for Plex instead? There are Plex apps in Homey, but none that does all this in the same app. Will you give it a thought?

Thanks, and great work.
