NSPanel support

That’s fantastic news — I’ll install everything and start testing no later than Friday evening. I’ll test it carefully with my NSPanel setup and report my findings and feedback back to you. Looking forward to trying the new NSPanel Studio. Great work!

As it’s so wide, you might not be able to test everything, but be as thorough as possible, please  Hopefully it will amaze and make you very happy

Hi! I finally installed and tested your app on one of my 120 mm US Portrait NSP Panels, and it actually works really well. Honestly, I’m now planning to remove my other panel from Home Assistant and use your Homey app instead. Great work!

I only have one question: why isn’t the app interface in English? Understanding and configuring the app was more difficult for me than flashing and installing the actual panel firmware! I managed it in the end, but a complete English translation would make things much easier.

I’ll continue testing the screen, physical buttons and device controls, and I’ll gladly report anything I find. Thanks again for making this possible for Homey!

It isn’t in English? It should be, it should be duo-lingual, meaning that English and Finnish would both be supported. Thanks for letting me know, I’ll look into it.

I have updated repository and now English translation should work; there are also some new features, such as copying settings between panels (or actually exporting panel settings and importing panel settings, setup is stored in a downloadable/uploadable file) - but this excludes QR code and pin-code settings as they might contain passwords, otherwise all other studio settings are copied. Flows are not included in exports.
Also mqtt settings of target panel are excluded.

Personal PIN-code settings added, static example pin-code support removed.
Now there is MQTT connection diagnostics also included. It can be downloaded.
There’s a protocol description and detailed instructions on controlling the panel in the repository’s docs folder.
I also have added .homeyignore which is similar to .gitignore file - it excludes included documents and other stuff from package to reduce size used on Homey by App.
While at it; there was one mqtt related fix also included.

Glad you liked it, I hope you like updated version even more.
Happy testing and don’t forget to add feedback here.

How would you rate NSPanel Studio? Do you find it easy enough while also including enough support? What about flows, is there a important flow missing or enough supported?
