Hi all,
Just got my Unfolded Circle 3 remote in. Installed the Homey Pro app and it connected. However, on the unfolded circle web interface I can see most or all of my devices but no flows appear, which should presumably have the “trigger” prefix. What gives? Hours long tussle with ChatGPT didn’t yield any solutions.
I used “Start flow from remote” UF card as the when. Presumably this should make it appear in the remote under the name used for “flow” with a trigger prefix. Unfortunately I am not seeing them.
Are you using Standard Flows or Advanced Flows? I understand that Standard Flows are not currently working with the UC app for Homey (it’s a bug).
If you use Advanced Flows it should work, e.g.:
Hi,
I have tried both and neither worked so far. Looking at your diagram it looks like you are triggering a flow from a flow. Is that also required or just a personal choice?
Maybe you need to make it a “favorite” flow (in the Homey app, hold the button for the flow and click Favorite)
I have no experience with the Unfolded Circle, but if it works the same way as Google Home then marking the flows as Favorite should work
I use the remote to start existing flows. But of course, you could connect any flowcard that you want to execute to the Unfolded Circle’s WHEN card.
What matters is that the Unfolded Circle’s WHEN card is required in order to make the flow available on the remote. I noticed that it sometimes takes 10 minutes before you see the flow in the Homey integration on the remote. What may help speed up things is to restart the Unfolded Circle app on Homey.
You don’t have to make a flow as favorite in order for it to pop up on the remote.
I am using the Unfolded Circle WHEN card directly triggering THEN cards. I have restarted the app on Homey. Yet I am still not seeing any flows from the Integrations → Homey Pro screen. The only entities I see are actual devices.
WHEN cards are usually used for triggering a Flow when something happens on the remote (e.g. button pressed). How did you add the Unfolded Circle remote? Via an app or did you have to “authorize” it to access Homey (Web API)? An app doesn’t know in which Flows WHEN cards are used, so you might need to add it in the remote itself
I added the App to Homey. Then Home Pro became available in the Unfolded Circle web interface including my devices.
Then there is something wrong with the app. I checked it online and it shows this:
The permission means that the app can request device and Flow information from Homey and then it will likely check the triggers that way. Either it’s not requesting the Flows correctly from Homey or it isn’t forwarding them to the remote.
Unfortunately, the GitHub link is no longer available, so I can’t check how it requests and forwards Flows
I have also opened a support request through the official channels: the support email address. Hope we can get this resolved since the only reason I have the UC is to drive Homey flows.
