Hello,
I got my HomeyPro few days ago and I’ve been playing with it. Seems ok and everything went well as far as the setup goes.
I grew frustrated the more time I spent with it though when I tried to interact with the apps. I couldn’t find any sort of basic instructions or online resources on how to do certain things with some of the apps.
Ex: Sonos App (Homey’s official).
I installed it and I can certainly see my Sonos device(s) but when I open it it gives me the controls and that’s it. How would I play a radio or my music library that is already added in my Sonos original app? I scoured these forums hoping that I would see some explanations yet I couldn’t find anything or whatever is there is very sparse and doesn’t make sense for someone who just bought the device
My second big frustration comes from the calendar (or the lack of it)
I installed the ICal app and connected to my Apple calendar, it does connect and it gives me the number of events and the last time when it synchronized correctly. That’s nice an dandy but how would I display it in a legible manner or look at them? There is no widget or a way (that I could find anyways) to put it in a dashboard or do something useful with it. It just gives me the no of events it found in my calendar.
I am not necessarily a total noob and I don’t necessarily expect someone to hold my hand and maybe I am totally missing the big picture here but the support section on the Homey website is ridiculously small and there is not much documentation that I can find online that would help me getting the basics and a bit more.
I installed all my devices easily and that was a big plus and I appreciate the cloud connectivity although it seems the Homey main selling point is the Flows for which I believe there is not much to read anywhere. As it is I manage to do some basic automations for some of my lights and cameras.
Is there someone that can maybe point me to some resources (any really) where I can learn how to do things and interact with the apps? I will be forever grateful and appreciate it a lot.
Thank you!
