Same problem here. Exactly as @Simon_Kai describes. Tried it on desktop with Chrome and FF, and on mobile (Samsung + Chrome and Samsung browser).

One thing I noticed: before installing the new app, I have the old "regular"Tuya app installed. I deinstalled it and hten installed the new app. However, at first, when adding a new device, I could still access the old app! The new app icon was not present. I deinstalled/reinstalled a few times, and then, suddenly I could select the new app to add a device. Sadly resulting in the error.
Could it be that some stuff from the old app where not cleaned up?
