Modifying nl.aldi app for new signal

Hello all,

I’ve come up with a signal definition for some Lidl TR-502MSV 433 remote sockets. I’m trying to modify the https://github.com/athombv/nl.aldi app with this new signal but having issues pairing the remote.

I believe my signal definition is correct as the output I get while running the app are consistent payloads:

─────────────── Logging stdout & stderr ───────────────
Quigg: started.
01001111111101101100 20
01001111111101101100 20
01001111111101101100 20
01001111111101101100 20
01001111111101101100 20
01001111111101101100 20
01001111111101101100 20
01001111111101101100 20
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────

However the pairing process fails. It might be because of the payload length check in https://github.com/athombv/nl.aldi/blob/master/drivers/quigg/driver.js but I’m unsure.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to go?

Thanks,

Well, nearly killed me doing it but got a working app!

I believe the reason the pairing process wasn’t working was because of the code contained in driver.js (https://github.com/athombv/nl.aldi/blob/master/drivers/quigg/driver.js) which looked for 4 identical payloads (reflecting 4 repetitions of the signal as defined in app.json).

For others interested in implementing drivers for their own 433Mhz sockets it might be of some use!

Congrats, that maybe was the hardest part.
To be sure you should test it with a couple of sets and then you could add a description, pictures and logos to publish it in the store.
I guess that is the most work…

Leo838,

Can you point to a manual or something similar how to grab the 433,92 MHz codes of my own specific devices and how to develop / modify an app to control the device? Looks like the Aldi-app (or likewise) is a good starting point. How did you start with this search, f.e.?

Just replied on another thread…

Is it posible to connect de Lidle powerplug RC-710 to Homey-Pro early 2023?
If so, with what app?

Still looking to connect these? I have some laying around and I’ve written a basic app to control them. Not published yet

No, I dumped them ;). Thx anyway.

Ah bummer! App is in certification status now  I still have three for use now.
