As of last update the mobile app now requires google play services on Android. Why exactly?
I don’t have google play services installed on my phone and neither will I do it just for this app…
I paid a lot of money just to be obliged to have google play installed on my phone now?
Anyone know a workaround? I use the webversion on my phone for now but the app is just better…
Are you using one of those photo frames/displays with Android but without Google Play for the dashboards? Are you sure it isn’t the Android version (usually very old on those photo frames)? What error do you see? Can you share a screenshot? If it’s PairIP, you can often remove it very easily from the APK (I had to do this with several smart home apps to be able to run on my rooted Android emulator)
Yeah that’s PairIP. You can remove that from the APK pretty easily. Do you have a Windows PC?
Just looked it up, thanks, didn’t know it was called that.
Gonna try and remove it, but its still on Homey though? Since I only got this after installing the latest update meaning its in the app itself?
