I have the same issue, if I restart my Homey Pro, it works again for a little while and then it stops working again. I connect to my HUE motion sensors through matter using my HUE bridge. Never had any issues until a few days ago.
My Homey Pro to Hue Bridge connection still doesn’t work. I removed the Matter node from Homey Pro, but I am not able to remove it from the Hue Bridge. It doesn’t want to remove it although I click the remove link button. Also it doesn’t let me add a new Matter connection either.
My last resort seems to be to perform a full factory reset to Hue and pair all lights again to Hue, connect it again to Homey Pro and fix all flows. A lot of work, but I don’t see any other way.
I guess Matter was really supposed to make things easier. And it does as long as things are working in a happy day scenario. But when things go off rails it’s impossible to figure out what the heck is going on. Probably not Athom’s fault but maybe a generic property of Matter?
That was the marketing campaign I’m afraid.
I restarted my HUE bridge and Homey, that fixed the issues for me
…and the issues came back again. This time ALL HUE accessories (buttons and sensors) stopped working.
Not sure if it’s Homey or HUE that made some changes recently…
There was clearly some changes as a lot of people reported issues here roughly at the same time.
I was finally able to remove the Matter from both Hue and Homey and Android and wherever it was used. I am using Philips Hue app now and only going back to Matter once Homey supports 1.3 version of Matter. Not sure if it has an impact but just in case it would be more stable.
I tried that before I switched to Matter. But I got tired of needing to re-connect my sensors all the time because homey lost them
Hi,
I had the same issue (“Matter is not available right now. Please try again later”), it seems that changing my hub to the last version one (2.1) solved the issue.
Early v2 hue hubs don’t support Matter or have issues with it ?..
I lost my Hue ↔ Homey Matter link yesterday as well after a power loss at my house…
I found no way to make it work again…
Sadly, I’ll have to go back to the old way too…
I’m still hesitating between Hue without bridge and Hue official apps…
Do you have non-Hue devices in your Hue Bridge? My problems may have been caused by other brand devices.
Only one innr bulb.
I finally reconfigure it all using the hue official homey app, not the courage to retest the all thing with the risk to have to redo it all again…
My wish to remove another hub (the hue one) is flying away…sadly
Not sure what happened, but maybe “Matter” was updated in homey or HUE but all flow cards regarding matter in my flows was broken. When I re-added HUE to Homey through Matter my hue switches now look like this when I try using them
I’m going back to using the HUE app for Homey instead, Matter seems highly unstable
Was this after they released version v12.3.0 that was supposed to improve Matter in Homey and fix many issues?
I’m not sure. I cannot see WHEN that was released?
Right. That’s an odd release notes to not have dates. But I think it was 2-3 weeks ago.
The release dates are present @ Athom channel at Slack:
Then it just might have been thanks to that january update then, not unreasonable to think so anyway
