i’ve got a samsung A11 tablet that ive never used and will mount it in the kitchen to run everything. i’ve read many people talking about using it in Kiosk mode, can someone please explain this to me and what it is, how to do it?
With Kiosk Mode, you can only leave the dashboard by entering your Homey account password. However, as shown in the linked forum topic, you can still access many settings in kiosk mode
so does it basically just lock the tablet to the app? if thats the case, we’re only likely to use it to run homey, so i guess its not necessary for me??
It doesn’t lock the tablet to the Homey app, you can exit it easily. It is supposed to lock the Homey app to that specific dashboard, but as mentioned above it doesn’t properly secure it and anyone with knowledge about the Homey app can exit it easily.
