Kajplats GU10 Matter connection Issues

I have a GU10 Kajplats connected over Matter.
And it stays connected for a few hours but then it just stops working.

I had it connected to my Homey over thread. But since my Homey is down stairs I now did try to connect it to a different thread network. The one of my Nest Wifi Pro routers which I do have on every floor.

But it still just stops working after a few hours.

Does anyone have any tips on how I might resolve this?

Why do you have two separate thread networks?

Asking for trouble.

It shouldnt Matter. Ha no but for real.
My Homey Matter network might just not reach my bedroom floor. While my Nest Wifi Routers are on every floor and technically should therefor be a better choice

If you have two separate Thread networks, then yes, it does ‘matter’ because you just said you have one network on ALL floors, so you’ll have congested coverage.

If you have few other thread routers (powered devices like plugs and other bulbs) then you’re asking for trouble

I have 70+ thread devices, I’ve been there and made every mistake already.

There is nothing on the second Google thread network besides the lamp. My Homey Matter network has one lamp downstairs, a smart lock battery powered and a new ikea battery powered remote.

What do you recommend then? Get another Matter powered device which actsbas a repeater to bridge the distance?

I’m no expert, but I had a similar range issue with that bulb. I assumed adding it to my Echo device would improve the Homey connection because it was closer. But I think all that did was add it to two networks that continued to operate independently. As I understand it, meshing multiple networks is available in Matter 1.4, and both Homey and Amazon are on an earlier version. I don’t know about your Nest routers, but Homey can’t cooperate with them until it supports Matter 1.4.

If that’s right it would be good to have it confirmed,

Andy
