Have installed it on my Unraid server, and seems to work great. Now comes the obvious wishlist. I would like to transfer all my devices and flows to SHS and convert my Homey Pro 2023 to a bridge
Install was seamless through the unraid app, but I have to ask. Is there a scenario here where you would allow me to use my devices through the antennas and containers I already have running on my Unraid? (Zwavejs and zigbee2mqtt etc)
Edit: Installed the HA Community App in Homey now, and it works great!
This would be great, I have two homey pros. But I would love to have Homey on my Unraid server and use the homey pros as bridges.
You can use HomeyLink for that
donât mean to ask a stupid question i have installed Homey on my unraid server with no issue the app on my phone see server and lets me install apps etc ⌠what i am having trouble is there is a login details for the unraid WebUI and i cant login am i missing something?
Thanks
Dan
Youâll need to add a local user to your account via the web app: https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/22924537226268-Using-Local-Users-on-Homey-Pro
i setup and all good using a bridge but when i try to upload an MP3 to the âsoundboardâ app i get an error, file is only 121kb and i tried a .WAV as well, im assuming its an unraid docker issue?
This is my first time using Homey but everything else has gone great so a bit confused.
Fully migrated to SHS since December on unraid and running like a charm.
I just changed the network config from host to custom, that way I can give the Homey SHS its own ip address.
good thing about that is that I now have redundancy in place. Should my main unraid box fails then I can startup on my secundary server⌠setup for the docker with the same ip addresss is already there, I only have to regularly make a copy of the /user/homey folder and copy it over to the secundary server.
The setup is kind of non standard unraid though, standard rollout of shs puts it on a regular user share instead of in appdata which is more standard.
I kept if like this for compatibility for now.
I have tried also, same error.
I have sometimes docker randomly stops for no reason, 10+ other dockers running fine.
cant see anything special in logs.
I have the same issue, install went fine however I got a few random stopped states. Earlier it only happened overnight, however today it stopped a second time as well.
Any hints on how to troubleshoot why it keeps stopping?
Yes, check the logs https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/24108544903452-How-to-install-Homey-Self-Hosted-Server-on-Unraid
Thanks for the suggestion!
I checked the install guide again and it seems either it changed since I installed it a few weeks ago or missed the part about how to configure the container path and the host path and I ended up with the following:
Could this be causing any issues going forward?
Looking at the logs I see the following messages repeating without end:
Restarting the server seems to have helped stopping the above messages, however I donât see how these would trigger a stopped state in DockerâŚ
Edit: Turns out I have a new issue now. After the restart he mobile app could no longer access the SHS instance so I checked the Web UI link and that shows me this:
Is it normal that after a host restart the Docker image reverts to defaults like this?
How can this be troubleshooted and how can I recover the configuration?
Looks like my homey folder disappeared from unraid so I will have to setup everything from scratch.
You didnât follow the installation instructions, which suggests a particular Host Path value (/mnt/user/appdata/homey-shs). You pointed to some random (probably non-existent) directory /homey/user that will not survive an Unraid reboot.
Itâs very likely your configuration cannot be recovered, but you may want to check any previous Docker images created by the Homey SHS container to see if anything was stored in them.
I had the same issue, dont know why. Currently 3 days stable.
Yes, that seems to be the case, thank you for confirming. Now I updated the configuration to point to whatâs noted under âDefault Valueâ. This should survive a server restart and if the unexpected shutdowns do come back again then I can further troubleshoot what could be causing those.
After 3 days another crash
Check your logs in unraid: i have the following:
: Jan 22 20:00:01 Probius kernel: libuv-worker[1720710]: segfault at 0 ip 000014e0924bd8fe sp 000014e090f8dd28 error 4 in libc-2.31.so[1588fe,14e092387000+159000] likely on CPU 3 (core 3, socket 0)
Talking to Athom support, not getting much response, i feel they dont want to helpâŚ.
meanwhile running 1 more test setup in unraid and 1 more un Truenas⌠to see whats stable whats causing itâŚ.
Did you manage to fix the issue? I had my app data fall off and had to reformat the drive.
But after reloading to the same path getting the activate issue and not able to start it.
The server was not to far down the development path. So not a problem that I have list it but want to just start it again
Any help is appreciated
