I am concluding the same. Zigbee is “just ok”, but I figured Matter would resolve all. IKEA has awesome prices and products, but Matter-over-Thread doesn’t work as I expected. I really wanted to use only Homey hardware. I was thinking of using OTBR in Docker with a sonoff antenna, but that isnt an Athom supported solution. On the one hand; wait for a new Bridge?
On the other; Shelly has been working flawless, stable and fast. So I’m feeling Wifi will be my “go to”. WiFi at our home is optimal.
With that in mind I figured that Shelly, with matter-over-WiFi, would be “the way to go”, even though Matter-over-Thread is vastly superior (in general) compared to Matter-over-WiFi.
But for the life of me, I cannot get Matter-over-WiFi (with Shelly) to work.
