After installing home batteries with PV and a backup box to ensure power supply during an outage, it would be very useful if Homey could also be accessed locally — especially in case the internet connection is lost during a power outage. Is this functionality available within Homey’s settings?
You don’t have to do anything specific as it should work if your mobile device is connected to the same Wifi woth certain limitations.
You could easily test that by unplugging your internet connection and disabling the mobile data on your phone.
And check on all off your device’s that you don’t use the cloud/internet connect version. Or be aware off that. (but it on a list (notworking with poweroutage)
And that your Network incl WiFi is work with out grid (powerd by a UPS or something like that)
At my house it is working except a few apps (incl device’s) what is working true Internet (cloud connection’s)
Since you can’t pause Sarlink Roam anymore (only set it to backup, so it stays online) I’m thinking of intergrating it in my home network as backup (when not on vacation)…
Still have to figure out how to connect it and have it automatically switch though…
