Ah nice !
Reallly looking forward to this !

Hi,
I’m using several Power Plugs from NOUS (Zigbee) and one from EVE (MATTER) to monitor my solar production. However, I haven’t found a way to set these Power Plugs as solar production sources in the Energy Dashboard. Did I miss something?
Thanks!
The devices must have ‘solarpanel’ as device class. Go to device settings / what’s plugged in. Then select ‘solarpanel’.
Thanks !
I made the change. I can see that the NOUS power plug now displays a minus sign before the solar production, which makes sense. However, nothing appears in the Energy Dashboard—the Solar Panel section remains empty and only shows the list of suggested solutions.
As I recall from the presentation, the line from the flare panel should display the amount of production, right?
Sorry, I got a bit impatient… It just takes a minute for the solar production to appear! ![]()
The yellow line from the roof indicates production, but the graph doesn’t reflect the -330W. Any idea why? Should I Wait:-)
A solar panel device should return a positive power if it’s producing.
In your case it’s returning a negative power that means it’s counted as consumer at this time.
If I change the device type for the NOUS Power Plug, the energy reading becomes positive instead of negative. It turns out that Homey is actually inverting the production values…
Perhaps it’s easier to use a virtual device and sum up the power usage of your plugs and invert it. So you can use a virtual device with correct type and correct value.
Very strange—there are plenty of device types to choose from, but “Computer” is missing, while “Network Switch” is listed…
It’s Network Router actually.
But please write to Athom suppport. No user here can answer the why, or change the available classes ![]()
Here’s the complete list:
I’ve created a virtual device, but how do you transfer data from a physical device (power plug) to a virtual device in Homey? What techniques are available for this? Do you use Flows?
Done, thanks
Yes, flows.
Use a ‘measure power changed’ trigger from your plug. The write the value into your virtual device capability with the action card of the device.
And between you can add a logic card to invert the value:
{{ -1 * [tag] }}
Where [tag] is the tag if your trigger card.
Thanks a lot! I learned something new today
. Iused the VD from Arie J. Godschalk, great app.
I created two Solar Panel virtual devices, and they are both correctly identified. Everything is working fine now! You were right—solar production should be positive, not negative! I’ve send an email to Homey Support on this.
My solar system is EcoFlow, but PowerStream is not (yet) supported. To work around this, I’m using Home Assistant, which has excellent integration for solar products. I then use Virtual Devices to send the data from HA to the Energy Dashboard.
Hopefully, EcoFlow PowerStream will be supported soon!
I have a HomeWizard dongle connected to my energy meter, and I am using the Energy app. However, the app is displaying twice the actual consumption compared to what the dongle reports.
Please see the attached image for reference.
Could you assist in resolving this issue?
