(as not able to see from earlier ones, but sorry if double Q)
I have several numbers on my (Android) Dashboard where value range is limited between -1 … +1 (with 3-digits) . In recent update (around week back?) Y-axis (auto)scaling is making those useless (as -6…+6). Same happens when opening same data on normal insight-view (still on mob.)
Same kind of problems on iOS as well. Temperature values are all between +19…+21, often between +20…+20,7. And scaling is always from +14…+26, pretty much useless.
In Fully Kiosk you can whitelist other apps as well.
On the other hand: why would you use something like this if you want to be able to use all other functions of your tablet?
I played around with Macrodroid as well. Works great too!
Finally I preferred Fully Kiosk, because that stays local while Macrodroid always connects via the internet/Macrodroid servers. I couldn’t find a way to keep it local via Macrodroid and have a webhook connect to the local IP of the display device.
Apart from not having to rely on internet/Macrodroid servers, it seemed a bit slower than with Fully as well.
And with Fully you don’t have to set up something for each app that you want to be open on the display device as well. Just setup Fully once and then a simple flow in Homey is enough.
I found out a slight problem : after adding a web widget and going to it, I get stuck. There is no way to get out since scrolling is done within the web widget.
Suggested workaround : a double tap on the Home tile could/should send to the top of Home
“Fully Kiosk single app” Also works really well with a flow that opens desired app and then closes it (returning to dashboard) after a few minutes of inactivity.
You can also very easy make a flow that turns on/off the tablet when movement is detected using Fully.
That’s why it’s called Macrodroid…
(Sorry, couldn’t help it! )
Love that app.
And indeed @McFly, that’s the one that is needed if you want to use the Homey app for a Dashboard. Fully Kiosk Browser is just for webbased dashboards usable.
I can understand your way thinking, but I just don’t assume while an app has ‘droid’ in its name, it’s automatically restricted to Android.
Macrodroid is a pretty long lasting app, and maybe it has evolved and made available for other phones as well, and why change a well known name just because of that…
I would like to know if the problem is only mine: since the latest update of the Homey app for Android, I see it like a sort of rollback: I have lost access to the Dashboard section , I cannot see the possibility to set the Moods and so on… Am I the one experiencing this?
I have an Homey Pro 2019 and I’m on the version 8.4.2 of the Homey App
The strangest thing has happened. The option Dashboards has disappeared this morning from the Android beta app on my tablet. The button is just gone. I can still see it in the iOS app on my iPhone. I have re-installed the app on my tablet, but that did not resolve it. I have an early 2016 Homey. Anyone with the same problem?
