I do have light devices on other zones, but still it doesn’t show.
Thanks everyone for reporting the issues and suggestions for the Light widgets so far.
In the next update we will improve:
- Showing all related parent zones when choosing a Light Zone Widget.
- Make the device in Light Single Widget clickable so you can open the device.
- Fix an issue which causes wrong state of the Widget Tile.
Also to address some concerns:
- We will consider making the Multi and Zone Tile clickable as well. This however involves more work then you might think at first.
- We will consider overwriting the title within the Light Multi widget.
- In our current opinion the off state is clear enough, the whole tile has an off state. Also this exact toggle is used app-wide.
Last but not least:
- I am curious how the design looked in 2016

Head over to the old forum, or ask @Emile for some marketing material from the past ![]()
And didn’t Emile or Stefan force you to study this page very carefully: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/athom/homey-the-living-room-talk-to-your-home

Long time ago when i stepped in. Think it was firmware 1.5 or so😀
Thanks for the update!
Sorry, I know I’m pixelf*cking, but just to clarify: the OFF state is indeed OK, it’s the ON state that bothers me.
Mainly when (for example as a visitor) you come to the dashboard for the first time, I feel like you wouldn’t know the light is actually already on. Obviously as soon as you then toggle the light you understand how it works, but it should be clearer from the get go that the light is already on.
The argument that this is used app-wide is actually also not really correct, these are the first toggle’s I find, and they have a very clear “ON” state that is different from the light widget in dashboards:
And now I will have difficulties to sleep

Btw never noticed that, good catch !
Thanks for the explanation, great feedback!
This would do the trick:

Well, if you can’t tell if the light is on or off, do you really need light? ![]()
Haha yeah, toggling lights from a dashboard in another room might be a bit of an obscure use case indeed. ![]()
Hi @Harwin - any eta on this? (If I missed it in the thread please pardon)
Or maybe Ideas to bounce to us? ![]()
Also as you guys started the thread I thought you want to interact ![]()
Would be great if it was possible to duplicate a premade dashboard so we can save some time to make a new dashboard without the need of replicate all card.
@Awangens You can allready. Long press on a dashboard tile in the dashboard overview page will show you a duplicate button. Good weekend!
Athom in general has soon™ as eta.
I think you shouldn’t expect the same update every day about the eta being soon™ ![]()

What’s the point anyways
I’m very surprised—I couldn’t add another widget to the main dashboard. A popup window appeared, saying I’ve reached the limit. I have 15 widgets … on the iPad.
Hi @HenriDO
The main dashboard on the Ipad is the same as the main on your phone. It is limited to 15 widgets.
The tap ’ dashboards’ on your tablet has 50 widgets per dashboard.
@Harwin can this widget be configured to only dim lights which are already on in a zone or all lights in a zone? because for some rooms I might want to turn everything on when dimming, but for my living room I only want to control what is already turned on
Thanks
Request; An option to use the speaker of a tablet/phone as external speaker for Homey. A Lot of people are still missing the speaker of the older Homey’s in the new HP '23. Maybe this can be done by the dashboard. So when a push notification is send to the dashboard by example, let the dashboard (aka tablet) speak the message.
It should be better that the zone name is showed on the place where the first light now is mentioned. It should be nice if the icon of the zone is used or can be set
If you make the slider a bit smaller and you place it in line with the switch, the overal size is going down and do fit better the general overview of dashboards IMO
Hello Adrian
How have you achieve that with Dashboard?
It seems you are showing a screen gathering detail input from multiple devices.
In dashboard I’m only able to gather device tiles but not to go below in granularity.
I would love indeed to create a dashboard such the one created by Homey for room temperatures (displaying room temperatures in a nice list format)
Thanks
