**Are you willing to loan or donate a device or money to a developer?**
Hard to loan a cooking hood, but I help trying it out.
Manufacturer also seems helpful with intresting projects with their devices.
What kind of brand/device(s) would you like to be added:
High end audio
Rotel Stereo Preamplifiers / integrated amplifiers
eg. Rotel RC-1572 - Seems to use a generic command list compatible amongst all like Rotel products.
What kind of category/signal(s) would the app use:
IP (Local)
RS-232
IR
Is there an (public) API / documentation / manual(s) or known (other) implementations (like Blogs/Github etc)?
An implementation of RS-232 control for Home Assistant exists already:
RS-232 commands and response format is the same for IP.
Commands will be accepted via TCP port 9590, and the unit will send responses back via
the same port. The command and response format is identical to the serial commands.
Further devices and information are readily available and easy to find at:
Are you willing to loan or donate to a developer?
Happy to test with my device, this project is pretty straightforward given existing development and easy access to protocol and information.
I can offer a small donation to get it rolling.
Extra information:
Other units are also available for control, so this app has the potential to be expanded to an entire product line without too much extra work. I am not a professional installer, otherwise I would offer to support this project financially but I can see the potential given this high end brands position in the market place.
What kind of brand/device(s) would you like to be added: ioBroker
What kind of category/signal(s) would the app use: MQTT via Wifi
Is there an (public) API / documentation / manual(s) or known (other) implementations (like Blogs/Github etc)?
Extra information:
Should be very close to the HomeAssistant adapter…
ioBroker has very powerful visualisation capacities, far more than lovelace. As there are probably many users trying several combinations, an ioBroker adapter would be a great enrichment for Homey!
