Because of a recent zigbee device problem I had a look at the Homey Developer Zigbee page. I can see how the nodes connect with each other however the Homey Bridges seem to be pretty useless. I was under the impression they would work as a zigbee repeater or node but it seems they don’t. Not one zigbee device is connected and some of them are close to the bridges.
Perhaps my interpretation is wrong so van someone tell me what’s the use of a Homey Bridge?
If the devices determine that another route is better, then they’ll just switch over to another router. There’s nothing you can do other than moving the Bridges. And yes, they do function as a repeater but in your case it appears like the bridges are not needed in that location
Mine is the same. It wasnt when i first setup my zigbee but overtime they have found better routes. ive moved the bridges into several locations but they seem redundant wherever i put them. Ive kept them because i assumed i needed them for zigbee etc. i have 2 but might now remove one completely
