Does the Homey Bridge work as a standalone or is it an addition to the Homey Pro?

Neither.
The bridge is an accessory to Homey Cloud edition, to make local radio’s available, like zigbee, zwave, IR, 433Mhz, Ble.

For the Pro 2023 it can be used as zigbee-zwave router and IR and 433MHz extender
All as far as I know.
