Homekit - Aqara Motion sensors showing as Humidity sensors

Hi All,

I have done a search for this on the forum and cannot find it anywhere so apologies if this has already been asked.

I know that the homekit integration is still in the experimental phase but I wanted to know if anyone else has had the same issue.

I have added my Aqara P1 motions sensors into Homie and they appear fine but in Homekit it detects them as humidity sensors.

Has anyone had the same thing and if so is there a fix?

Have you tried using the HomeKitty app instead of the experiment? (disclaimer: I’m the developer of the HomeKitty app)

I’ve just tested in via Homekitty and it does seem a lot better so thanks for that.

I had a few issues where it wasn’t detecting the correct state of the device but after a restart that also seems to be ok.
