Google TV Streamer

I’ve switched to using Google TV Streamer for all of my media needs. Works great, the only thing I’m missing is an app for Homey with some actions for flows. I have a couple of power plugs I want to switch on/off with the streamer and setting lighting to TV mode as soon as I start playing would be nice. Didn’t find any app that seemed suitable but maybe I’m looking in the wrong place.

For now I’ve managed to get things going by using Google Home actions as a work around. I use a Logitech Harmony hub to power on/off my receiver and TV. Google Home can trigger an automation when the Streamer is turned off / on, which I use to trigger the Harmony action. And based on the Harmony devices switching state I can then start flows in Homey as well. So it kinda of works, but it would be far cleaner to have a Homey flow started by “Google TV turned on / off”.

Maybe the Android TV app works?

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that, but it doesn’t seem to work. The app on Homey is requesting to input a code which should appear on the TV, but doesn’t. So I can’t get passed the setup process. The website section for pairing has no actual content (Pairing | Homey Android TV (EN)) and the github repo seems abandoned ( lucasvdh/codes.lucasvdh.android-tv: Android TV connector for Homey Pro).

Ah never mind, I forgot that both devices live on different vlans and I needed some firewall exceptions for that traffic to be allowed. After that the code showed and it seems to work!
