Hi,
I am planning to purchase one of these two Devices and I was wondering which one supports Homey the best.
Reviews of these devices suggests that Google home supports more devices, but I am curious about the expercience of fellow homey owners.

You’ll need to describe what you want to do with the integration with Homey. Control devices connected to Homey by voice? Have Homey control the Google or home pod device? Eg play music or radio stations? Make announcements? Also do you have other Apple or Google / Android devices in the house? It’s not really possible to give a useful answer without more information about what you’d like to achieve.
I want to control Homey by voice and Play music and playback announcements if possible. We have borg IOS and Android devices.
OK when you say you want to control Homey by voice, I assume you mean you want to control the devices connected to Homey by voice (i.e. your lights etc.) In that case both options will support all of the standard devices you connect to Homey and both options allow you to run Homey flows by voice which gives you an easy work-around for any devices connected to Homey that are not directly supported by your chosen voice assistant. There are built-in integrations for both (https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/360022832954-Connecting-Homey-with-Google-Assistant-or-Google-Home and https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/360024237434-Enabling-the-Apple-HomeKit-Experiment) although the latter is only semi-official. There’s also a community app called HomeKitty which gives you a lot more options and control is you’re using Homey Pro and go down the HomePod route.
