Hi all Im in the Scotland UK not long had my homey pro. I was wondering if there is anyway i can get my solar and energy data in to homey. My inverter is made by GivEnergy and my Electricity provider is Octopus Energy i have a smart meter as well Any help would be very appreciated Thanks In Advance

I second this. Seems its only available on Home Assistant! Shame If anyone can develop this off the back of the GivTCP thst would be awesome I believe it can be linked via mqttt but i have no clue how. All Smarthome platforms are pushing for Energy Monitoring and saving. Id imagine GivEnergy and Octopus are major suppliers in the UK and automating charging cycles to meet costs and peak demand would be a huge step forward Anyone else want this?

+1 for this. It would be great if someone can create an app for the GivTcp

Quite impressed with the Homey Pro looking at the various reviews. I was almost certainly going to purchase one but if there’s no integration for my GivEnergy battery and inverter system then I will persist with setting up Home Assistant

Octopus Energy data can be fetched with Homeyscript [image] Help with how to build a script Questions & Help Thanks for all the help so far. I used Chat GPT to build some scripts for me. This script returns the unit rates I’m on based on the hours of the day: // Replace with your actual API key const apiKey = ‘YOUR API HERE’; // Define the product code and tariff code for Octopus Go const productCode = ‘GO-VAR-22-10-14’; const tariffCode = ‘E-1R-GO-VAR-22-10-14-A’; // Define the date range for fetching tariff data const periodFrom = new Date().toISOString(); const periodTo = new Date(Date.now…

Here’s a GivEnergy script for starters: [image] Http requests for json Developers Hi, hoping someone a bit more knowledgeable might be able to offer some suggestions on what I might be doing wrong in the Homey app I’m writing. Basically I’m trying to get some json data from a Solar Battery inverter via its API, however I instead seem to be receiving some html data instead. My code is as follows (except with and having the correct values): 'use strict'; var http = require('http'); const Homey = require('homey'); var options = { host: 'api.givenergy.cloud', path: '/v… Having HA next to Homey is always a plan.

Hi, I’ve put together a GivEnergy app for Homey. It uses the modbus connection of the inverter (similar to GivTCP & Home Assistant) so it’s not using the cloud API. [E2EBDD11-383C-4825-926B-A50279C78BE5_4_5005_c] It’s very much early stages, and I’m keen to get some testing on other installs. Would anyone be interested in testing this out? As my install is Gen3 Hybrid Inverter w/ battery, I’m especially interested testing in other generations or high voltage setups as that can give me feedback I cannot otherwise get, though this doesn’t exclude anyone from trying it out

Yes. 100% Can I use it alongside the Kraken app for Octopus.

Yes, I also have the Kraken app installed. I don’t use any special flows though, I’m using an Octopus Go tariff (the night rate for non-intelligent EVs), not Agile or anything more dynamic. Did you just want data in the Homey app, or do you have some flows in mind? I can see if those flows will be possible. I’m just figuring out how to get app testers set up.

Hi Would love to test this out Thanks

Great news I’m creating a topic for it here. If anyone reads this and is interested, please visit: [image] [APP][Pro] GivEnergy Apps Currently under development and looking for testers The GivEnergy app is an unofficial app integration your GivEnergy inverter, solar and battery storage into Homey using local connections. Send me a message if you would like a link to the test install. Tester notes: You must add the “Solar Inverter” device first Auto-discovery doesn’t work at the moment, find the IP address of the router and add it After adding the invertor, you can add a battery device and a meter device (CT Clamp) - they… Update: test version now available
