Since updating Homey Pro (2023) to firmware 13.4.1, my Aqara FP2 presence sensor has stopped working correctly.
Setup: The FP2 is connected to Homey via the Aqara app’s “Signal” feature, which exposes it as a virtual Matter device through the Aqara hub. This setup worked flawlessly before the update — zone active/inactive states updated in real time.
Problem: After the update, the Matter device only receives presence updates for 1-2 minutes, then stops. It doesn’t go offline/unavailable — it just gets stuck showing “no presence,” even though I’m still in the room. This is causing my lights to turn off on me constantly.
Why I believe this is a Homey-side issue: Presence detection in the Aqara app itself is working perfectly the whole time. Only the data reaching Homey via Matter stops.
Troubleshooting already tried:
- Restarting Homey
- Restarting the Aqara hub
- Restarting/power-cycling the FP2
- Removing and re-adding the Matter device on Homey
Has anyone else seen Matter devices (especially bridged Aqara devices) stop sending updates after 13.4.1? Any fixes or workarounds would be much appreciated — this has made several rooms in my house unusable for automation right now.
