Flow Logic Visualisation

Hi! How do you guys plan and optimise your flows? Does anyone visualise with a flow chart first? The flow editor is usually enough for simple to intermediate flows but recently my flows has become complicated that I’m trying to optimise them and thought someone might have a good idea how to go about it…
