I’m looking for a flow that will indicate which sensor in my exterior zone turned on. I now get that there’s motion but knowing which specific sensor detected motion would be really nice. Any help someone could lend would be appreciated… new to Homey.
Something like this:
Note sure of the exact English name for the trigger card, but it’s probably something like “Alarm of each device is activated”. This allows you to set a parameter for which alarm you want to activate. In you case this will be a motion alarm (“Bewegingsalarm” in the screenshot above).
You can then use a timeline card, or any other notification and use the device tag (“Apparaat” in screenshot above) from the trigger card to include the information on which device was triggering the alarm.
Trying to emulate. When I create a when card of: Exterior Zone and devices Motion Alarm turned on I see my tag choices are: Alarm, Device, Zone. When I go to the second step and look for Timeline options none of them seem to include the ability to add the device tag so as to know which device sent the motion alarm.
Is there a good video online that anyone would recommend? I find myself hunting and pecking and often not finding what I’m looking for.
There is only one timeline card. It offers a text field. When you click it, you can type text you want as part of your notification.
The right side shows a label. When you click that, Homey will show you a list of all labels you can select.
Note that you must have a connection between your WHEN card and your timeline card in order for the labels from the WHEN card to be available.
