Welcome to the official topic for the Flexit Bodo Supreme app for Homey.
This app allows integration and control over the Flexit Bodo Supreme fan directly from Homey.
Homey communicates directly with the fan over the local network using MODBUS over UDP. As a result, automations will still work even if your internet connection is lost.
The goal is to enable seamless control by connecting the fan with your other smart home devices.
Flows
Through Flows, you can build advanced automations. The app offers a wide range of flow cards for Triggers (when), Conditions (and), and Actions (then), allowing control over almost everything the fan does. You can check conditions and perform actions related to:
Motion sensor
Light sensor
Fan inactivity
Air quality
Humidity
Temperature
Automation and Control Conflicts
For the control to work optimally, it is highly recommended to turn off all existing automations and scheduling inside the official Flexit mobile app itself. If Flexit’s own logic is still active, it will start interfering with Homey for control over the fan. By letting Homey handle all logic, you avoid unexpected behavior and conflicts.
Setup Procedure
The fan’s IP address, ID, and PIN are required to connect the fan to Homey.
NB! The PIN must be EXACTLY 4 digits to use the app. If the PIN is not 4 digits, the checksum will be calculated incorrectly, and you will be unable to communicate with the fan.
It is HIGHLY recommended to use a static IP for stability. Do this in your router rather than the Flexit mobile app for convenience.
Note: Ensure that your Homey and the fan are connected to the same local network (LAN) and subnet.
Tip: Cloud Management
In the Flexit mobile app, under Settings > Wi-Fi setup, you will find the option “Allow device management via Cloud Server”. Since this Homey integration communicates directly with your fan over your local network, this cloud connection is not required for Homey to work.
If you prefer full local control, you can safely disable this setting. You will still be able to control the fan and monitor all sensor values remotely from anywhere using the Homey app, even when you are not connected to your home Wi-Fi.
Polling Interval & Updates
Important regarding polling intervals and Air Quality (AQ) sensor accuracy:
Frequent data requests (polling) can cause the AQ sensor readings to rise uncontrollably.
To ensure stable and accurate data, I recommend a polling interval of 90 seconds.
While the app allows you to set the interval as low as 30 seconds if you want to experiment, please be aware that shorter intervals may trigger false AQ readings.
For the best balance between responsiveness and sensor stability, 90 seconds or higher is advised.
However, whenever Homey sends a command to control the fan, the action is executed and updated immediately.
Other fan than Bodo Supreme
The Flexit Fans mobile app supports the following fans: Roomie V1, Roomie V2/Aura, Vario and Bodo Supreme.
In the mobile app, the interfaces between these fans are different. So I doubt this app will work with other fans than Bodo Supreme. It is probably possible to make this app work with other fans than Bodo Supreme. But I only have Bodo Supreme. So I cannot make the app work with other fans.
While developed specifically for Flexit Bodo Supreme, this app is expected to be compatible with the following models as they share the same hardware platform:
- Blauberg O2 Supreme
- Duka S8 Wi-Fi
- Vents Arc Smart
Note: Compatibility with these specific models has not been personally verified by the developer.
Feel free to use this topic to share experiences, ask questions, or report unexpected bugs.
It is much more efficient to gather all feedback in one place so that other users can also benefit from the solutions discussed.
