Distinguishing guests from residents in Homey flows

Hello online friends!

I’ve been searching the forum for a while but haven’t been able to find a good answer yet (though I’ll admit I’m not the most experienced forum user).

I thought it would be a nice idea to add our parents as guests to our Homey setup. All our flows are currently configured around my girlfriend and myself. For example: when we go to bed, we put our phones on the charger, and the increased power usage marks us as “sleeping.” When we wake up, we press a physical button to indicate that.

Our parents, however, belong to the “phone with a leather flip case” category , so this kind of setup isn’t really an option for them. They visit us from time to time, and it’s convenient that they can open the door and that the alarm doesn’t start going off.

The problem is that flows like “the last person went to sleep” or “the first person woke up” no longer work as intended, because Homey also sees them as users. I was hoping for an option along the lines of “the last resident went to sleep”, so you could distinguish between residents and guests.

Are there more Homey users running into this issue, and are there perhaps simple solutions that I’m currently overlooking?

Many thanks in advance!

My workaround would be:
Create a YES/NO variable ‘ the last resident went to sleep’

WHEN
somebody went to sleep
AND
Glen_K is asleep
Mrs. K. Is asleep
THEN
set ‘the last resident went to sleep’ to YES

WHEN
somebody woke up
THEN
set ‘the last resident went to sleep’ to NO
