Device groups

So apparently HP Pro v12.4.8 allows you to natively create groups within HP. Anyone had any luck doing this? I do not even get the group option to pop when I follow the guidance on support page.

Also can’t get critical alerts to even be an option on iPhone even when turned on in HP Pro.

Going to sent a support ticket but curious is anyone else sees this disconnect on this?

edit: yes I am also running app version 9.4.0

And you’re not using a Pro 2016-2019?

Correct. I have Homey Pro (Early 2023)

Just to make sure: Did you scroll all the way down in the device settings of your light, plug or curtain?

Thanks Peter. Did all that…But saw in forum have to force restart HP and iPhone to get critical alerts to work. Now it works. Guess need to force restart after all updates and changes LOL. Appreciate help

The < group > app is way more versatile imho.

I use that app, but it’s not reliable. I have had to resort to a flow that restarts the group app every hour to have a better chance that it will include all devices in groups when a command is sent for them to do something. It’s a known bug that is reported to the dev, but he doesn’t care.

For this reason I was really hoping for this native group feature…and now that it’s here I can’t use it because it doesn’t work with my hardware. So yeah…that sucks.

The group option seems to be available only in certain devices’ settings (e. g. lights).

Although i (used to) love the Group app, perhaps an Advanced Virtual Device from the Device Capabilities app works better for you.
It also allows to group devices, but in a more customisable way.

I had to remove and reinstall the app to get the group-option. iPhone 15 plus with the beta app of Homey.
