CPU usage in Insight, how does it work?

Hey Homeys!

I’m chasing major issues with my Homey and I found that Insight can display CPU usage for Homey itself and for apps. So I thought that it might be helpful to see if something is hogging CPU resources.

However when I choose to display the CPU usage of Homey and apps the graphs are basically identical…regardless what app I display. Also, the unit is pretty weird. The pointer is “%” but the Y-axis is shoving “1.e-6”, “2.e-6”, “3.e-6”, “4.e-6”, “5.e-6” and so on. The pointer always show “0.00%” regardless of where I place it on the graph.

Is this CPU data cumulative? If not, my Homey is having major problems with CPU management. (The steep drop at 17:50 is a manual reboot I had to do to remedy the issue I have.)

That e-6 is the scientific notation so even smaller…
Yes it is the cumulative CPU used since starting the app.
Restating one app wil show that graph only for that app…
As 5e-6 is 0.00005 it is rounded to 0.00%

What you show is nothing to worry about.

Maybe look at the system load.

Ps also great post High system load > 100% - #25 by Rrrr

And Insights scales
