I’d love to see the ability to add configurable horizontal reference lines (thresholds) to Insights graphs — an upper and lower limit line drawn across the chart for a selected capability.
Use case: When monitoring a sensor (room temperature, humidity, CO₂, freezer temp, etc.) it’s very useful to instantly see whether the measured value stays within a desired range. Right now you can only read the raw line and have to eyeball whether it’s within bounds.
What I’m proposing:
- Per Insight log, optionally define a min and/or max value.
- These render as horizontal lines (ideally dashed, distinct colour) across the graph.
- Bonus: shade the area outside the range, or colour the data line when it crosses a threshold.
Today the only workaround is creating virtual number sensors set to a fixed value and plotting them alongside the real sensor, which works but is clunky and clutters the device list. Native threshold lines would be much cleaner.
This would pair nicely with the existing request for min/max/average values in Insights.
