A while ago my wireless wall switch was broken. I decided to replace it with a “logical switch” with dashboard widgets. When I couldn’t find an app, I decided to develop one. The app currently has 12 different stylings on the widget button and a “status led” that shows on or off. It is possible to add your own text to the button when initializing. Just installed the app and try to add a button to the dashboard.
When selecting “choose device“ their is nothing to choose.
Hi, great app! I use it on my kitchen ipad dashboard. My kids can press the button when they have cleaned out the dishwasher. A flow based on power consumption measured by a smart plug switches the button to off mode. So when the dishwasher is done the button turns red. Dishwasher cleaned out and button pushed it turns green etc. etc. Some extra visual motivation to do this chore 
The only thing I haven’t figured out yet is how to auto refresh the button on the Homey dashboard. When I don’t refresh manually the button stays red. Any ideas on how to solve this?
Hi. Sorry, but there is no auto refresh function in the app. The reason is that I did not need this functionality when I developed the app, and therefore unfortunately did not think about it. I will try to implement auto refresh as soon as possible in a new version of the app. I have heard that it should be possible to set up auto refresh of widgets in the dashboard, but I have not been able to find out how.
Hi Jan-Ivar, that would be marvelous! I can totally understand you didn’t have this in mind before. What other people can think of is what makes Homey such a cool platform!
I have posted a new version with auto refresh on test. This version refreshes every 5 seconds, so in some cases it will take a few seconds before updating. You are free to try: ButtonWidget | Homey
