Best Practices for Alexa Integration

Trying to figure out the best way to integrate Homey and Alexa. My Alexa configuration pre-dates my Homey device by about 6 years. Many of my devices, particularly Lutron Caseta devices, are fully configured in Alexa but also work in Homey. Other devices, such as my Ring Transformer, only works in Alexa and has no Homey driver, and still others are supported by Homey but not Alexa (Ring Contact Sensor).

When I added the Alexa app, it imported all my Homey devices into Alexa which created duplicates for many of the devices that are in both. I know you can configure the devices to be excluded from the integration - but what features do you then give up with the integration. WHen I tell Alexa to turn on the lights in the kitchen, who is processing that request? Does Homey even see this request or the result of it so that it can kick off other flows? Should other Homey devices in the kitchen turn on?
Is it better to have Alexa forget all devices, and only add devices (where possible) to Homey. Therefore Homey would be the only one responding to voice requests?
Can Homey recognize the location of the Alexa, so that when I ask Alexa to turn on the lights when I’m in a room, Homey knows which rooms to turn on.
What about room names? Do they synchronize between the applications?
The integration also seems to mention that flows in Homey should be visible in Alexa. I can’t seem to find them. I’ve created them as Favorites, but they still don’t show up in Your Routines in Alexa. How do I kick off a flow with a voice command in Alexa.

Sorry about all the questions, but need some advice on the best way to configure this integration. I’ve looked for a best practices guide on this to no avail.
