Iām not sure if i am doing something wrong but i get an initial connection and it looks like i can read all data, but shortly after pairing/adding my PAX calima i loose the connection and i will no longer be able to read or control anything. I have got it to work for short periods and i am suspecting that it has to do when i connect with the PAX app. Whenever i open my PAX app, the fan goes into bluetooth mode and when i close the app it also closes the connection. Seems like this behavior is why i see updates on homey for very short periods. Could it be that the homey app doesnāt keep the bluetooth connection active over time? I did send an email to developer without any response.
Anyone else seing the same problem, or know if i am doing something wrong?
after my above success, I have seen exact same issue as you⦠some data comes once and then and mostly not⦠same for controls. My 2 x Pax only 2m (one brick wall) and 4m (2 brick wall) away, but even if Homey taken closer, did not resolveā¦
I exchanged emails with developer, based on his feedback Homey BT issueā¦
As was only ānice to haveā for me, did not focus more on thisā¦
I would like to revive this thread as I am looking for bathroom fans to integrate into my Homey system. Pax Calima is only a short range option because of Bluetooth only. I have asked their customer service and there is āno smart home integration plannedā.
Found the Duka Smartfan Wifi SmartFan flƤkt med WiFi-kontroll as an alternative. Seems to have all set up for Homey integration, with temp/humidity sensors, WiFi and native app control. The sales representative stated that they want to develop smart home integration but not yet in pipeline.
Is there a community developer interested in taking it on? Besides bathrooms, these fans are also be great for warm/cool air transport between rooms, from fireplaces etc.
