Aqara water leak sensor NO battery message

I don’t have leak sensors, but the PIR, contact and weather sensors report battery level with ZHA.
But when there are bug reports about the leak sensors on ZHA, I would check that out first.

Yes, that’s a good idea if you use them as a water leak sensor. A good moment is when you need to change the time, one hour back or forth.
That’s what I’ll do to test my power fuses for all the groups in my home. Official advise is every 3 months…

In my usecase I use the sensors more like a binary sensor. I need to know when things starting to get dry.

I need to know when the water reservoir for the flowers are almost empty.
I use a floater switch connected to the sensors.
When the water level is below a certain level it makes contact and the sensor is reporting.
Then the reservoir gets filled.

The sensors are water resistant so they are ideal for this. And they’re cheap.
