Aqara FP300 not responding

Hi guys

Soo i’m completely new to this whole thing! Just got my homey pro 2026 today and the first device i have is an Aqara FP300. I installed the aqara app within homey. I updated the Homey to the most recent version, as well as the FP300 itself via Aqara Home App. I changed the running protocol on the FP300 to Zigbee over the Aqara Home App and then connected it to homey. The first time, it reported (wrong values but at least there were values) presence, movement, temperature, humidity and light. It reported them once the pairing happened and never after. There wasn’t a refresh of data ever. I disconnected the device and did it all over again. Now it only reported movement, presence and humidity. No temperature, no light. And again, it never refreshes. It’s only 2m from homey away.

I read about a lot of issues regarding exactly this problem, but i’m totally overwhelmed. Should i buy another presence sensor than aqara? Should i buy an Aqara hub? Do i have to install plugged in zigbee devices forst to strengthen the zigbee network? I’m so taken aback by this… i seriously doubt my whole project now. I didn’t buy anything beside the homey and aqara FP300 yet soooo… i’m so helpless right now. How should i proceed?

I think the FP300 has been the most overhyped product in the industry over the last three years

I use the FP300’s in thread mode. They seem to work ok with the last update but I paired mine with Apple Home 1st which that seems to help. That being said any new ones I buy will be the new Lafaer model. I have a few of the LWR01’s and they work very well. The LWR02’s will ship in mid march, I have one that is on order. Plus the Lafaer use AA batteries and can be restarted much easier than the FP300’s.
