[APP][PRO] Zigbee2MQTT

I have already installed MQTT Broker cause I previously use this to my Tasmota devices, so I have it configured and it is working.

But, when I am trying to add bridge in your app, I am receiving message: “Error: MQTT settings OK, but no Zigbee2MQTT bridge info found”

Do you have zigbee2mqtt running (that particular piece of software)?

Yes.

See step 1 in the instructions from the first post. You need to set this up first: Getting started | Zigbee2MQTT

That’s not zigbee2mqtt, that’s the MQTT Broker.

So I need an additional device, not only Homey itself, right?
I have USB dongle and home assistant, but I would like to get rid of that

In that case, why don’t you use Homey’s built-in Zigbee implementation? This thread/app is specifically for people running zigbee2mqtt that want to use it with Homey (because they like z2m better or because it supports more devices than Homey).

Because, my Homey Zigbee doesn’t support Blitzwolf SHP13. I was hoping that it will be working without additional devices.

If there is no Homey app that supports your device, and the generic Zigbee device for Homey also doesn’t support it, you will not be able to make it work without additional devices or external software (like zigbee2mqtt or Home Assistant).

Ok. So what bridge device do You recommend?

Did you read this?

new version 1.2.1 is available as test: Zigbee2MQTT | Homey

  • Device: Auto restart after bridge reconnect.
  • Added more device capabilities and subcapabilities.
  • Added more settable capabilities (target_temperature, locked).
  • Added migration check on start.
  • Added thermostat valve class.
  • Improved thermostat capability mapping.
  • Improved capability unit migration.

You should now be able to control thermostats, many thanks to @DickO for donating a thermostat valve to be able to get this working!

Ok, so I have told sorry to my my Dell Wyse with HA and Zigbee USB Dongle.

Anyway, I cannot add/connect to the bridge (Timeout 30000ms exceeded).

What is wrong with my configuration (see attached screenshots)? I have already tried with “Reject unauthorized” ON / OFF.

  • In one config the broker address is set to core-mosquitto, in the other config to 192.168.0.188. They should be the same.
  • In one config the MQTT port is set to 1883, in the other to 1884. They should be the same.
  1. I have tried to use 192.168.0.188 instead of “core-mosquitto”, but it gives an error when I am submitting the change (see screenshot).

  2. When I was giving port number 1883 it cannot connect (connection refused: not authorized). Only on 1884 it is getting connection.

In my Z2M logfile I cannot find any clues.

I wonder if your base setup is okay at all, because you wrote “Ok, so I have told sorry to my my Dell Wyse with HA and Zigbee USB Dongle.
Does this mean you have shut it down?
You need a system with zigbee2mqtt and a supported USB dongle next to your Homey to get this App working…

I have devices iworking properly (as You can from my screenshots).

I cannot figure out a proper config for a Z2M to connect it with Homey.

The Homey app very likely will not support MQTT over WebSocket, so you have to make it work with port 1883. If the error is “not authorized”, you have to set/use the proper credentials.

Super app! Have requested this for a long time.
I have a mix of Hue, IKEA and Aquara. when i try to change temperature of a hue light i get “Missing Capability Listener: light_temperature” popup. When i check the Hue state i see the line: “Color_temp: xxxx”

Will test this out further…

Thx for your kind feedback! I have ordered some zigbee RGB-bulbs so I can start integrating lights better. Delivery takes some weeks though, so sit tight
