I had also in most recent version to restart app from time to time to get values updated, anyone else is expiring this?
I cannot reproduce that you need to restart the app before the sensor is updating. Will the people that have that behaviour step by step describe what they are doing? That way i can look into the problem.
Does this behaviour ocur when you first installed the app?
Does this behaviour only ocur when adding an new device.
Does this behaviour only ocur with the sensor or the ropot?
Sure, let me try it. For me, there are currently 3 issues.
-
pairing - I bought 3 Xiaomi Flower sensors and I tried to add them - even all three sensors were nearby, always only 1 or 2 were available for pairing. Even when I paired two first, then tried to add 3rd - it wasnāt visible. I tried to remove them, update firmware, add them again, pulling out battery - no change. Then I read about app restart, so I have added first two sensors, restarted app, add successfully 3rd - but then data were not updating since pairing (even after several hours). So I restarted app again and it was already updating as per the interval set for the app (15min).
-
updating values - since last few days, I had to restart the app even during the day to get the data updated.
-
issue - now with new firmware v4.2.0-rc.6 even after I restarted the app, values are not getting updated at all. Maybe Athom broke something ?
|nodeVersion|āv12.16.1ā
|homeyVersion|ā4.2.0-rc.6ā
|homeyModelId|āhomey3sā
|homeyModelName|āHomey (Early 2019)ā
Native app works so far ok.
Let me know if I can help you to troubleshoot it somehow.
Thank you.
Cannot replicate the issueās. Not on Homey nor HomeyPro. Can anyone try to to reproduce the issues?
For those 2 Homeyās, are you on latest 4.2.0 rc.6 version ? Two out of three sensors got working todayā¦
The diag. code above would not help you ?
Iāve both running on rc.6. iāve not received any diagnostic report. How is your free memory? Iāve seen some reports with combination of resource intensive apps that Homey cannot keep up the BLE connection.
To all users that use other software to readout the sensor values. The app cannot read data once its connected to another device.
I mentioned diag.report above. Iām rebooting Homey each day, so if that would be the case (memory issue), it would at least sync after reboot. I believe there is some other problem behind.
Before restart (fresh as I canāt add 3rd device again) : 321c853e-299a-4871-a02a-71b08e522738
After restart when it was working : a194f5f8-8f90-4626-ba67-3c2c5e52a4c3
I donāt have connected in parallel original app when Iām testing it.
Btw my current state - yesterday I wasnāt able to make it sync. I uninstalled app, re-add devices, 2 works fine now but I canāt again add 3rd sensor
Iāve viewed your log and i see an āBLETimeout at Remote IPC Processā error from Homey core. (BleManager). Looks like there is something distubing the connection.
Are you sure nothing is connected to the sensor? Whats the distance between Homey and the sensor?
When I faced this issue, they were like 10cm from the Homey, but current distance is like 3m direct visibility. As I mentioned, I have 3 sensors, they canāt be even contected constantly at the same time, right? At this moment, two remaining sensors stopped syncing anyway, last update 2 hours ago I wonder if Iām really the only one with this problem
Another report : 306caecd-0530-4fdf-980a-0f61b5336d5e - I canāt get values even right after sensors were re-added
Going to do PTP rebootā¦ one day is was working great, all three of them.
Still get the same error.
After Homey reboot - 5c5293c4-bb15-41bf-b158-09df55ed1adb
Now sensors are updating fineā¦
I havenāt done anything else then rebooting, sensors are in the same locations as before. Itās a mystery
Looks like there is something happening in de BLE manager that isnāt properly scripted. Iāve seen that behavior before.
You already have a bigger adapter for your Homey i guess?
Not yet, just replaced with 2A adapter. Unfortunately, it is the same ;-(
On rc9 my sensors are not updating too nowā¦ iāll look into that.
Mine are, also on rc9. Weird it is so inconsistent. There is a ble change in the log, was afraid it would break stuff.
I changed sync interval to 30 min, in the meantime installed WatchFlower app (Android)ā¦ just to test sensors and it seems this apps sync better then the original one. Also I donāt know if it is related but now itās syncing also in Homey. Coincidence?
Update day after - sync interval 30min, not updated now for 3 hours
hmm I canāt confirm that here, itās going very well
Itās working just fine here to
