Is the same bug preventing Repair?

@Casper181 no that’s not related. Why?

I can’t get the device repaired. Havr restarted the app. Redownloaded the app etc. Would rather not delete it as I’d have to edit numerous apps. I get a 30000ms timeout when I try repair.

Homey keeps crashing recently. I was told by Homey that the cause could be this app. So I disabled it to test it out and Homey stopped crashing. Today when I re-enabled it after seeing the updates, it started crashing again, even after updating from 1.37.3 to the latest version.

Diagnostic report as follows: 3a1b6328-7ff6-4b17-9bb4-2cd8787c1992

Able to advise? Would love to continue using this as it is an awesome app.

I recognize this. Keep trying was the solution for me. I think it was a restart, and then repairing it immediately.

Also try a second device/number, then you can see if it actually works

@Casper181 please send a report for that

@MozartSailor the app had a lot of issues lately due to memory cause by the SDK which is used

Currently you are the only one with a crashing WhatsApp

I think what @Seinuh said is the best to do. Remove the app and re-add it again

That will break your flows but you can use this script to fix them: [HOW-TO][Pro][Cloud] - Tool to FIX (advanced) flows after removing and re-adding devices - #238 by Seinuh

@Casper181 the report is empty. Looks like the app crashed. Can you check that?

Restarted app. Immediately went for repair. Repair timed out. Hopefully not empty.

@martijnpoppen I had again the issue with a crashing app and even a crashing Homey (red ring) after the update to 1.38.7. Removing the Whatsapp device and re-adding solved the problem for me. I disabled auto-update now for the Whatsapp-app. Hopefully it keeps working and homey will not crash anymore. Thanks for all the efforts Martijn.

@Raymond the latest version should be 1.38.7 which fixed all memory issues.

App crashes all the time, i read more of these issues.

Worked fine untill now:

@Peter_de_Witte
Homey/Athom implemented a new node version, so that’s might be why it crashes

Next to that. There’s a memory/cpu issue in the Whatsapp SDK which I can’t fix myself. I have to wait for a update.

Conclusion: nothing i can do for now

Same issue here. Hoping that Homey/Athom know of this issue and are working on a fix as well…

Same issue here. Took me some time to find out which app it was causing. Any suggestions which app to use to give an app issue in the timeline? So for the next time I don’t need to try all apps on/off

For now, I’ve disabled Whatsapp until new updates. Let’s hope it’s coming soon.

@Willie27 Not sure how you would expect me to know that my app is causing issues on your Homey.

I did do a lot of fixes lately. But unfortunately that’s not enough, however for 90% of the people it works properly so don’t really want to send messages to them that it might be that the app crashes as that’s not a give.
Next to that if this app is causing issues it also won’t have the power to send a notification.

Yes I hope so too.
