@O3car oh that’s interesting.
I’ll push the test version to live soon, that will probably resolve that issue
Hi Martijn,
Since a couple of weeks my device is stopping/crashing every time. I see notifications about new pairing code needed. Creating a new device only helps for a short time. But creating a new device every 1 or 2 days is not really an option. The repair function only shows a white screen that is non-stop loading. Could you please check what’s happening when you have time?

Thanks!
@Robin_Schuurman please edit and translate your post
This is a English topic
Hi Martijn. Thanks for a nice app
I have tested it since summer to send simple warnings from some flows, and I like it’s better than Homey native push notifications.
Two days ago the app sent a message to the timeline: “New pairing code is needed. Please try to repair the device.” When tried to repair, it leads to a white screen with rolling icon + text “Loading…” and does not continue further from that, except sends the “New pairing code is needed” to the timeline again. Restarting the app or Homey does not help.
App version v1.36.1. Diagnostic report e5324c45-dd1d-4ece-81ee-2130f3b451ca
@Raita_Kallio already replied to your report
But sometimes the repair fails
Only option you have is to remove and re-add the WhatsApp device
Thanks. Re-add worked but sadly the flow cards must be built again. Well - thats life, no problem ![]()
Small update from my side.
Creating a new device also did not work anymore. After reboot of homey it did, but within 2 hours the device was broken again with the same message that a new pairing code is needed.
Perhaps it is because I’m using Whatsapp business?
@Robin_Schuurman no it’s not because of WhatsApp business.
No idea why but sometimes it disconnects
Make sure to open WhatsApp regularly on your phone otherwise it will just kick you out of WhatsApp web (this integration is using WhatsApp web)
I have the same issue, Today I noticed that I can’t repair it.
@Valentin_Ciopei if repair doesn’t work: remove and add it again
Hi @martijnpoppen ,
My Homey Pro 2023 has been crashing multiple times per day/week recently. I am already in contact with Athom about this and have sent them diagnostic reports. According to Athom, the WhatsApp app on Homey is crashing, which might be the reason why my Homey goes offline or crashes as well. They also mentioned that there are some recently known issues with WhatsApp related to this problem.
Could you please confirm if this is correct, and if so, is there something we can do to solve it? I use the WhatsApp app very often and am a happy user of it.
Best Regards, Hugo
I have the same problem. Can’t use the app and repair is not possible. I deleted the app, but I forgot that I use it in a lot of flows, so I have to reinstall everything and fix it.
But the question is, will this ever be fixed? I use this app a lot and am bummed that it’s not working now. Hopefully, this can help you and that you can get it working again.
@HvN I didn’t hear anything from Athom about that so no idea what they are referring to
@EdNL I made a lot of fixes lately to this app. That included the repair. So I don’t know why it’s not working now. But I have to investigate. So I thought it was fixed but apparently it’s not. Consider me bummed as well…. ![]()
Removing apps always remove your devices.
I don’t know what’s going on either. It keeps telling me to reconnect to WhatsApp, and when I do, I just see a white screen and can’t get any further. I now have to adjust all the flows again. Hopefully I still remember them, otherwise I’m out of luck.
@EdNL please send a report when this happens otherwise I won’t be able to check what’s wrong
Also if you keep seeing the white screen the repair doesn’t work and the only solution is remove and add it again. Not sure if you did that already
To fix your flows you can also do that automatically: [HOW-TO][Pro][Cloud] - Tool to FIX (advanced) flows after removing and re-adding devices
I will try to install it again and when it is not working, I will send you a report. Thank you for now ![]()
Yes, after deleting the app and reinstalling it, everything went well. I got a few flows working again, and they’re working as they should. It’s a shame I haven’t quite mastered everything; now I have to re-enter everything. I saw your link, but I don’t really understand it at all
- So I’ll just spend a day re-entering everything (and make a copy so I know what I did, LOL).
I do have a question, if I may. I had a flow that sent me the lowest price for the following day every day as soon as the new prices were announced. I’ve lost this flow and don’t know how to get it back. Maybe you happen to know; you’re quite a know-it-all ![]()
Thanks, and luckily I didn’t have to throw my Homey out the window ![]()
I think something’s not working properly, or I’m doing something wrong. The flow below, I believe, should work if I send a message and receive a response from WhatsApp (it used to work fine, but not now).
I’m no longer getting a response from WhatsApp when I ask a question. For example, I’d tell WhatsApp: “Sensor info.”
Usually, I’d get a list back via WhatsApp, but not anymore. Either that, or I’m doing something wrong in the flow, because I’ve lost everything, of course ![]()
De flow moet whatsapp mij een bericht terug sturen, als ik Sensor info stuur. Whatsapp gaf mij dan het bericht “Hoi (naam), Hoe gaat het ermee?”. Ik doe iets fout
maar wat?
@EdNL (reply to your first message)
Glad it works! And luckily you didn’t test if homey had wings ![]()
Im not sure how to find your flow back
Most of the time I use the webapp a lot which gives me a bit more overview to find everything but I don’t know such a way
