Just wait a bit. It took me maybe 3-4 hours until the files were not empty.
Have just installed, setup the data feed, first one is 0kb so will wait a few hours and report back. Mine’s a 2019 GTI so interesting to see what i can use data wise from it. Position would be good if added in the future as i can see location in the VW app.
Ok, any ideas how to connect this in Homey? Got over 30 data packages now, all circa 3kb in size apart from the first couple which as i said were 0. Nothing else has changed in Homey, going into ‘Configure’ for the app is doing nothing…
Have just tried removing and re-installing, still saying ’ No vehicles found yet’.
FFS, it would help if i read all the instructions, added the actual car as a device (like it said) and lo and behold all working…
Have noticed services days (both days to inspection and miles/km to inspection) both are the correct number but are displaying as minus figures?
Position looks like it is still missing in the json data set for my Golf GTE 8.5 from the portal. It might be something that needs to be enabled on the portal side. Does anyone have GPS coordinates in the json output?
Some data is now coming in. The car had gone into battery protection mode (again), so it was offline.
Query re the negative values for servicing, my vw app shows is have 272 days till servicing again (about right as it was done in Feb) but is showing as negative. I can fix this by reversing the values but is it being interpreted correctly, ie - means overdue by x days? In my case it’s not.
Also anyway to put the mileage and any other km based figures into miles? App setting maybe or can it be done in the data feed in any way you are aware of?
Look here
Yes, I’ve done that which makes them not negative, was just questioning the interpretation of the data as I know my vehicle isn’t due but yet it has a minus in the data field.
I got it working. Waiting for data and I will let you know how it works.
Thanks for making this app.
Hi Andi
I activated the setting and it makes them positive so in a way its fixed it, i was more questioning the interpretation of the data being returned. For example, before inverting the days till service was -279 for me, from an earlier post you mentioned that a minus number means its overdue. My car is certainly not overdue, it is due a service in 279 days so was wondering about what you’d said with a negative meaning overdue and a non negative being due in x days.
Could you clarify?
This was initially my interpretation as I’m not having that data on my Audi.
Could you please update to the latest version and let me know if it works now?

Thanks for reporting the error and for the update. The warning will be clarified in the next version as part of the data‑approval explanation.
ok makes sense as you might have seen it, do you want to see my json?
Also any option to convert from km to miles?
