Thanks for a lot of good answers here nice and have a dilog on this. Tuya is cheap and works perfectly fine with the tuya app. but Homey is now my new hub. The thing is just that I had a lot of tuya devices so if possible it’s good to use it. the more gadgets the more fun ![]()
Hi all ![]()
After quite a few years with the Tuya Zigbee app, I’ve come to the conclusion that I simply don’t have the time or energy needed to maintain it at the level it deserves anymore. ![]()
The app has grown into something far bigger than I ever expected when I started it… including, at last count, something like 600 device requests waiting for attention. ![]()
Rather than letting the app slowly become neglected, I think the right thing to do is to hand it over to someone who can give it the attention it needs. Athom has suggested a company that may be interested in taking over development and maintenance, so that is the direction I’m currently pursuing. ![]()
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has used the app, reported issues, tested devices, contributed information, helped other users, and generally been part of the journey. It has been a much bigger project than I originally intended, but also a very rewarding one. ![]()
This is not goodbye to Homey.
I still use Homey, I’m still interested in the platform, and I’m sure I’ll turn up in other contexts from time to time.. not least around some of my smaller apps, where I fortunately don’t have 600 device requests waiting for me. ![]()
Thanks for all the support over the years. ![]()
/Johan
Hi Johan thanks for all your support in the years before and understandable if your busy with work and private life that you don’t have time to sort out another 600 requests.
I find support for my devices @dlnraja who helped me a lot even when it took a lot of effort and patience, but we are there now.
Wishing you all the best and thanks again, Peter.
hi johan your is realiy a good feature , thanks a lot for everything
Yes thanks, I did use your source to “create” “my” app.
Thanks. Now hope that they pick it up.
can the following dimmer fingerprint be added?
producer id: _TZE284_nqqylykc
product id: TS0601
What do you think…?
If you post the ids here it means that you did read at least SOME of the other messages
I think he is reading bottom up like a lot of new members. Must be half way by now. ![]()
_TZE284_nqqylykc: Already requested 2y ago, request is still open:

Tuya Zigbee 0.3.0 is now available for Test
A new Test version of the Tuya Zigbee app, v0.3.0, has been submitted to the Homey App Store.
This release is an important step in getting the app back into active development.
Over the past weeks I have been going through the codebase, old pull requests, open and closed issues, device definitions and the overall app structure. The goal with 0.3.0 is primarily to establish a clean and stable modernized baseline before bringing in the larger backlog of device additions and fixes.
What is 0.3.0?
0.3.0 includes the modernization work and maintenance needed to create a solid foundation for continued development.
It has been validated against the current Homey publish requirements, tested locally on Homey and has passed the automated test suite.
I have also tested the app with my own devices and so far it appears as stable as the current Live version.
What about all the device requests and old issues?
Those are coming next.
A separate development branch already contains a large amount of additional work, including support for more Tuya devices, additional fingerprints and fixes for a number of long-standing issues.
That work is currently planned as 0.3.1.
Keeping 0.3.0 and 0.3.1 separate gives us a useful test point: if 0.3.0 proves stable, we know that the modernization itself is sound before adding the much larger batch of device-specific changes.
Please help test
If you use the Tuya Zigbee app, I would really appreciate it if you could install the Test version and report anything that behaves differently from the current Live version.
Especially useful feedback is:
-
devices that no longer pair
-
devices that pair but behave differently
-
Flow cards that stopped working
-
capability values that no longer update correctly
-
crashes or recurring errors
-
anything that worked in 0.2.76 but does not work in 0.3.0
If everything works normally, that is useful feedback too.
The current Live version remains 0.2.76 while we test 0.3.0.
Thanks to everyone who has submitted device requests, interviews, logs, pull requests and testing feedback over the years. There is quite a backlog, but we are finally working through it properly.
// Johan
Hi Johan, Does this mean that you continue to develop this app? Or has it been transferred to one of Athom’s development agencies?
Hi @SunBeech, for now the app is under my control. Before I hand it over to anyone, I want to make sure it’s at its best.
Hi Johan first of all thanks that you trying to fix all the issues in this app.
First if all I tried to repair my LCD Temp & Hum sensor but still no battery reading, then I deleted the device and re-add it again but still no battery reading.
Diagnostic code: 5a0dfa38-e664-4b26-9884-102a3adccca8
After the Update to test ver 0.3.0 all the device’s still working fine.
Thanks and best regards Peter.
Tuya Zigbee v0.3.1 is now available in Test
Hi everyone!
Following the modernization work in v0.3.0, I’m happy to announce that Tuya Zigbee v0.3.1 is now available in Test.
First, a big thank you to everyone who helped test v0.3.0. With over 2,600 Test installations during its first two days, we’ve had a useful opportunity to observe the updated app in real-world environments. Your feedback, including comments on older GitHub issues and diagnostic reports, has already helped us identify and address additional problems.
What’s new in v0.3.1?
This is a substantial update, incorporating fixes and improvements recovered from our ongoing review of historical issues, pull requests and device implementations.
Highlights include:
-
Support for numerous additional Tuya Zigbee devices and manufacturer IDs.
-
Fixes and improvements for switches, dimmers, remotes and various sensors.
-
Updated handling for several radar, rain, siren and FingerBot devices.
-
Improved Tuya datapoint and Zigbee event handling.
-
Battery-reporting fixes for several temperature and humidity sensors, including a TH05Z correction prompted by recent diagnostic feedback.
-
Additional automated regression tests and validation.
A note about Live
v0.2.76 remains the current Live version.
I’m deliberately keeping it that way for now. With more than 20,000 users on Live, I would rather give v0.3.1 a proper testing period than introduce a major update immediately before a weekend, particularly when any follow-up Live release requires Athom’s review.
Your feedback matters!
If you’re running Test, please let me know how v0.3.1 behaves, especially if you previously experienced an issue that we have marked as resolved on GitHub.
When reporting a problem, please include the app version, Homey model/firmware, device manufacturerName and modelId (if available), and preferably a diagnostic report ID.
You can report issues directly on GitHub.
Install Tuya Zigbee v0.3.1 Test
Thanks again for your patience and continued support. There’s still plenty of work ahead, but the project is moving forward again! ![]()

Version 0.3.2 is now Live!
Loads of fixes, features and support for new devices/fingerprints.
More to follow ![]()
Hi,
Since the update, the second channel of my 2-gang curtain switches are no longer working. They’re throwing the attached error.
Diagnostic report: 0c645f88-e49e-4daa-bc17-c1c2d9445e13
I’ve also reported an issue on GitHub. Have rolled back to 0.2.76 through CLI to at least be able to close the blinds in my kid’s bedrooms for now.
Thanks for reporting @Maarten_Heer, a hotfix is now in Test.
Have installed and validated 0.3.3. The 2-gang switches are working without issues again.
