[APP][Pro] Tuya Zigbee App

This should work for generic zigbee devices as of v10.1.0, with the (sad and too easy) disclaimer if supported by the device.

I’d contact Athom Support anyways for this issue.

Hmm thats wierd, I am on 12.2.0 and the generic does not support power monitoring, but to answer my own question about another app, i found that the Nous app supported power monitoring so now the plugs work :+1:

I also see now that i forgot to paste the link to the wall plugs… :man_facepalming:

Hi,
I saw on the github page of the app that there are support for Avatto devices, but my switch modules didn’t work. Should I then create an request to add them?

Yes, I think you should. However, the name of the device is most likely no complete indication. For example: the device I requested is supported in a number of variants. Just the specific ID I have isn’t.

Hi,

I am trying to add a smart button that shows up in Homey as TS0041 when added as a generic zigbee device.

I installed the test version of the app but when I choose the smart button, it is still added as an unknown device.

Is there there anything I can try?

Hi,

I’m owning 2x LIDL Livarno RGB Mood lights. I paired both devices as generic zigbee device and it works: on/off, setting colors are correct, but dimming the lights only works on the 2nd try.

Now I installed the Tuya Zibee app and paired the devices again. The lights are supported and can be paired (vendor-ID: _TZ3210_r0xgkft5 / product-ID: TS0505B). But setting the color is not correct: I won’t get the color I selected. But dimming works fine.

Is this a known issue for the mood lights? How can it be solved?

@johan_bendz are you planning any new release soon? Just wondering since I made a pull request on github. If not I will just install my own fork.

Interviewing the device in the developer-tools might help.

Under wireless in the left section choose zigbee, then the specific device, and after pressing the three dots on the right press interview.

Hello Johan,

I try to use a Tuya Zigbee power PC switch for my Unraid Server in Homey Pro.

First I reset the Tuya Zigbee PC power switch. I push it for 5 seconds ( resetting ) then the blue led is flashing quickly, then I can pair the Tuya Zigbee switch with the Homey Pro. This mean Homey does recognise the Tuya Zigbee switch, but I cannot use the digital buton ( in Homey ) I see a message in red “This device do not support on / off switch”

I also install your Tuya Zigbee app ( test version) in Homey Pro, but the Tuya Zigbee power PC switch is not availabel in your list. Can you please add the needed drivers in the Tuya Zigbee app, so I can use this Tuya Zigbee device in Homey Pro.

Here is the iinformation of the intervieuw result:

Please let me know if you need more information.

Thank you,

Please read the first post of this thread on how to request device support (and also please edit your post so it doesn’t contain the interview data anymore).

Yes, did read the first post, and followed up the instructions. Thank you.

Hi @johan_bendz could You please check this new device requests?

I have same devices and I see that they are already at the list.

I have a 2 gang wall module from oes, it is supposed to be tuya compatible.
I installed the experimental tuya app version.
Adding the device mentions that it will create two tiles (one for each gang), but it will only make one. I can seem to figure out what I am doing wrong. The device is :
_TZE204_bxoo2swd / TS0601

Anyone with some bright ideas ?

Forget i asked. I accidently installed a dimmer and not a switch :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: with the switch module, it is working

Could anyone help me please with my above post? This devices are for me like must have to using Homey properly and now I’m at the dead end.

Hi
I added a plug yesterday, and now memory of the app goes up very fast until nothing works anymore. Have to restart the app every 30 minutes… Any idea wat could be the problem?
A have lots of ZigBee devices…

Is there any plan for the launch of a new version of the app? A significant part of my Tuya devices are still not natively compatible and even in the test version it was not supported. I’ve already interviewed my devices and reported it to github…

Hi, how do you find these specific devices in AliExpress? For example I would like to buy the “1 button smart remote controller”, the one which gives also battery information, but I would like to understand:

  1. which device codes in the list above correspond to this model, versus the model which do not provide battery info (there are two devices in the app with the same name “1 button smart remote controller” although only one list of device codes for “1 button smart remote controller”)?
  2. how to find the devices in AliExpress from the device code?
I already purchased something which looked similar although afyer pairing discovered that it is not a device in the supported list.
    Thanks!

Hey, for the best of my knowledge you can’t search for Device Code on AliExpress, sadly. Homey don’t work like HA where you don’t need the device code (altough they could, so you can always complain to homey in hope they change something). So the creator of the app need to add manually all the codes and each brand that resell tuya have their own code.
I have a lot of tuya zigbee devices and it’s a gamble, some work out of the box and some don’t.
For those that don’t, you have 2 options:
1 - add your device in the Github and wait some months for an update on the app
2 - Add it yourself. If your search this thread there is some explanations on how to do it. It’s really easy and you don’t need to know how to code at all. Just follow instructions.

If you want to do the second option, feel free to reach out and I can help with some explanations on how I did it.

Hi @calabuta that sounds just great. I like the idea to add them myself and give a little contribution into this project. I got some programming knowledge just in case is needed. I checked a bit through the thread, I think you refer to this post: [APP][Pro] Tuya Zigbee App - #4887 by johan_bendz. I’ll reach out to you for some questions. Thanks!
