Nevermind. This wasn’t related
Thnx for looking again. Strange. I tried again deleting all lamps. And reinstalled first lamp 2 this time. Now that one is working correct. And not the others
.
Could it help if I totally reinstall them in the Tuya app itself? Dis not try this yet.
If the problem remains I’m gonna use the scenes. But I prefer everything trough Homey of course
@Peter_Kawa, I saw your original message in mail, it’s possible that it’s related. Multiple devices have different on/off commands ( switch_led, switch_led_1, switch_led_v2, switch_1, switch_2) If one of the lights has other on/off command( same applies for dim, color temp and color) and Tuya is sending only one command, it can give same behavior.
@Sjoerd1, it doesn’t matter what you do. It’s wrong in the code and has to be fixed first. Until it’s fixed you can use scenes. If you fire multiple commands to lights, it can better and faster done with a scene.
I will use scenes. If I can help testing let me know ![]()
Hey @Jurgen_Heine! Thanks! It indeed works well now! Hope you’re feeling well now
Dim-level is working
. Thnx @Jurgen_Heine. Great work!
Have a nice weekend.
Good to hear it’s working now😃
When it comes to “Home Assistant” i have seen attempts to create a “Local Tuya”-solution.
With “Local Tuya” i suppose idea is to communicate directly locally with Tuya-devices without doing communication through “Tuya Cloud”.
Are there any attempts in progress also in the “Homey World” to create solutions where Tuya-devices are controlled directly locally without accessing “Tuya Cloud”?
There is, but that’s a different app. In the upper right of this site there is a magnifying glass. This is a nice feature to look for a term like ‘tuya’…
What is the name of that other app you are referring to?
Got the latest beta version, inserted all the credentials, all working. One day later, not working at all. Re-inserted the credentials, still not working. timeout 30000 sek. Any ideas?
I Experience more or less the same. I have done all steps, can see all devices from the IoT Portal - and the Tuya app works. However in Homey - some devices are available, others are not. When I try to add the devices via “+” - it says “Configure App first”.
Any clue?
@Frosti_Heimisson, did you read the opening post in big letters about adding the devices again? For existing devices the legacy api is still used. Otherwise everybody gets non working devices when there is new version pushed. The legacy API has still the timeout problem and can’t be fixed by me, thats why I have implemented the new API.
@FrankSmits, when you get message to configure app first, you probably made a mistake in one of the settings. Read carefully the opening post. Which username and password did you use?Facebook/google don’t work, develper portal credetails don’t work either. You have to use the mobile app username and password. Mobile app should be same as portal, and region needs to match with country code, also API choice should be official or both.
I see also a lot of diagnostic reports that it’s not working, but almost all of the reports are showing incorrect settings (API gives message that the login failed) or timeout messages of the old API. The last is a known issue and one of the reasons I have implemented the new API.
Okey so im a new homey user, and im trying to get this tuya cloud app to work
Since i have multiple tuya devices that is using wifi (bulbs and switches)
So i followed the guide in the first post.
I went ahead to the Lot platform site, and made an account and setup the cloud.
After some trail and errors i got the red tuya smart app to link to the lot site, displaying 14 devices in online state.
I copied over the Access ID/Client ID and Access Secret/Client Secret info to the homey app.
Next i entered correct login details and country code.
But when i try to add lights i just get an message to configure the app?
If i choose lights (legacy) it states no devices found. What have i dont wrong?
Thanks for the reply.
See the post above yours, Daniel.
And…
Did you enter the countrycode like ‘31’ (not ‘0031’)?
Are there hidden spaces in your ID and/or secret? Did you REALLY copy/paste the exact data?
Is the first character perhaps turned into a capital in some way (because of auto-correct stuff and such)?
Did you use a real email adress (not logon with Facebook/Google) for the legacy API?
Do you use the Tuya Smart phone app?
I belive all credentials should be correct indeed…
I double checked and no spaces or captital letters have sneaked its way into the string.
Country code is 47 no zeroes or symbols added.
Region in tuya phone app is Norway
The email is real, its the same credentials on both the develop site and app.
I do indeed use the red tuya app, also checked tuya option in the homey app. So at this point im not sure why i get the configure app message
Will dubble check everything again. But im pretty sure its all entred correctly. In the tuya app is also states: linked at the cloud development tab
To be clear:
- API selection box determines which API('s) to use. For new APi it should be both or Official
- Countrycode is used for selecting the server in the region the code belongs to, only for official API. See link in my post for correct codes.
- Username, Password and Bussines( Mobile app), and only for new API; appid and secret, are send directly to the API’s login. If this fails the you get the message to configure app first.
So if even the legacy devices don’t work, it can only be username, password or business.
I’m also having issues with the new API. Pretty sure all info in the config of username (hotmail address), password, appid, secret, region code is correct. Adding devices in the homey app with "verlichting (legacy) is possible. In the IoT platform all 15 devices which I added with the (red) Tuya mobile app are visible. The configure app message shows up when I try to add a device with the Homey app.
Is there anyway to integrate other types of device, I have a number of WIFI fixed and portable radiators accessible via the SmartLife app which used to work under HomeAssistant working with both the cloud and local integrations ?
