So i have some problems regarding the setup of the Tuya community app or tuya cloud app.
I followed the linked intructions and tried entering the right information in the configuratiion/settings of the apps in homey, yet i still recieve error 1004 sign invalid.
I dont know what i did wrong and how to fix it.

Please keep the conversation in the Tuya Cloud topic.
Here’s a guide to try to correct the data you entered:

This is my first question on this forum. I just bought a Homey Pro this week and am now in the process of connecting my inventory. So, my apologies in advance if I’m not following the agreed-upon procedure. When connecting my lighting and appliances, I’m running into problems with some G9-socket LED bulbs (using the Tuya cloud app). They work fine in Google Home, but Homey can’t find them. This is apparently related to a dispute between Homey and Tuya regarding the Wi-Fi bulbs. Question: Can I connect the Tuya Wi-Fi bulbs in another way, considering my beginner level? Thanks in advance for your help.

Unrelated.

The tuya lights do not appear in Homey by themselves, you have to use the “Add device” button on the top-right.
I write this, because you didn’t write how you got to the point “Homey can’t find them”.

Is any Tuya Cloud device added already? If not, it can be an app configuration issue ss well.

It’s also possible the lights you want to use are not supported (lights can differ, even if it’s the same model.
In that case, you can use the workaround “tap-to-run”.
You’ll find it in post # 1 of the Tuya Cloud topic.

app-store vinden….

You can also use the new Tuya app that was released 2 hours ago.

Despite being Dutch both, please keep the discussion in English for other users. For Dutch, there is a dedicated part of the forum.

Oké I Will. Didnt know, because i’m new
Kind regards

Oh wow, it is live. Let’s hope Tuya doesn’t pull the plug again, like they did with the previous ‘official’ app🙏

I wouldn’t ditch the Tuya Cloud community app yet

For me, the original officlal app was still working. But this one works fine too, so I disabled the old one. I will keep it installed just in case

Please edit your post, and cut/paste text in to a translate tool, and post the results in English in that post

If they do, then Home Assistant users will also have a problem, as this app uses the HA client ID :grimacing:

If they revoke the key, what stops us from just forking it and copying the new key in there😉

I’m not sure if this is a “regular” key, or some sort of B2B key. Good luck getting one of those

I wouldn’t put my gold on it  But I guess they’re less careless with 28% of all H.A. users

If they update the Home Assistant integration, then we can just copy the new key. But if they revoke it completely without updating the integration, then it will be a problem. I already tried reverse engineering the Tuya mobile app once, but it uses all kinds of encryption and signing in the HTTP requests so that isn’t possible.

I installed a Smart electric radiator in my bathroom. Unfortunately I can only connect this with the Smart Life/Tuya Cloud app. I previously added this radiator via Homebridge to my Homekit, but as I want every device in Homey, I removed it from Homebridge (as Tuya can only handle 1 platform at the time…) and added it to Homey. Unfortunately it reads the current temperature 10x more than it really is.

See picture below. The actual temperature is 16.3 degrees, but it reads 163 degrees. When I had it connected to my Homebridge it was working fine, so something in the Homey plug-in must increase the temperature with 10x.

Somebody has the same problem and/or solution for this?

It should be possible to connect multiple platforms

The app likely multiplies the value by 10 (maybe it expects something else), so you should report it to the developer.

Please check device details in Tuya developer portal. It should have a scale factor attribute.

The scale factor defines the offset of decimal separator (should be 1 in your case).
