[APP][Pro] Tuya Cloud - This app allows you to connect Homey to the Tuya cloud

Have you had this before? I’ve been working with Tuya Cloud for a few years now and never had to do this.

In that case you probably paid for the API use, or your app still uses the legacy API?

When your trial period has expired, you need to extend it. Because the Tuya IoT Platform is quite extensive, here is a manual in Dutch with images to extend your trial period again.

Hi all,

Since a few days i get the following messege in my Homey when i click on my tuya plug.
Friday night everything was working but on Saturday morning my flows stopt working or de Tuya app cloud didnt work any more.

The project is still active for Tuya developers. I tried to make a new project but that also didnt work.
Factory default and restore back-up also didnt work.
If i try to add a new device in Tuya Cloud i get the following message:

Is there anyone that can help me out with this?

It is set to “official only” and I never paid for it. And just before this started effecting a lot of people I thought (for a different reason) “Let me extend the trial period” and I noticed it was expired months ago!

Perhaps I just happened to extend it at the right times, just before the check on expiration was enforced again. Like when we moved house in 2022.

Uiteindelijk heb ik een oplossing gevonden. Ondanks dat mijn project nog niet verlopen was kwam op het forum tegen dat iemand een nieuw account aangemaakt had op het Tuya IoT Platform. Ik heb dit ook gedaan en daarna mijn huidige Tuya app weer gekoppeld. Mijn apparaten zijn nu weer zichtbaar en mijn flows werken ook naar behoren. Heb gelukkig niets hoeven aan te passen.

Sinds enige tijd werken al mijn apparaten, welke aan de Tuya cloud zijn gekoppeld, niet meer.
Vanuit de Tuya app werken ze prima, en ook in de cloud zie ik de laatste data beschikbaar. De laatste stap (van de cloud naar Homey) lijkt niet meer te werken. Iemand suggesties?

Heb je de eerste post goed doorgelopen - en gecontroleerd dat alles goed werkt ?
Subscripties op orde ?

Het is al goed dat je kunt vaststellen dat status in Tuya Cloud klopt. Dan moet het dus wel in je koppeling zelf zitten. Grofweg zou ik zo zeggen

  • Het op orde zijn van je subscripties
  • Het goed configureren van de integratie in Homey
  • Het juist triggeren op de raw data in je flows

Als je niets hebt gewijzigd aan je configuratie zélf - of aan de flows - en je weet zeker dat die eerder werkten - zou ik denken dat meest waarschijnlijk is dat er iets met je subscriptie ververst moet worden ?
Als je mogelijk wel al hebt zitten tweaken aan de config - dan is dat een goede stap om daarna te checken.

@MikeyB , I think you need to extend the IoT trial subscription. Check the above 20 or so comments for that :slight_smile:

It seems this LinknLink Intelligent Super Gateway does have Tuya Cloud support built in…but how? :wink:

It seems Tuya changed the way to login and you do not need no longer the developer api, HomeAssistant has already updated there integration, I hope the homey app will also be updated soon…

That’s very good news, B3rt.
I hope it’s possible to update this Tuya Cloud app by creating a Pull Request.

I can confirm the new API works, and connecting with it @ HomeAssistant was a blast.

This is interesting. When Homey updated today to 10.0.6 Tuya stopped responding, listening capabilities missing. Have just gone through the instructions and discovered that my trial period ended a year ago. Have extended so hoping it work again

Tuya agreed to extend trial period by another 6 months. TBH, that seems like 6 months to move away from Tuya. All I have is one switch so shouldn’t be that difficult

I’ve installed three Hombli Smart Sockets with metering via this Tuya Cloud app, thanks for developing. However I’m not able to see energy usage within the Homey app. Is there something I’m doing wrong? This is an example of my freezer:

Hello everyone,

Since i had some issues with some of my Tuya lights. After restarting the app everything of Tuya has stopped working.

After some research i had to extend the trail version. Its already 2 hours later after they accepted the new trail period.

I also tried to update the Tuya settings in Homey to check if everything is oke, but if i try to save the setting i get this error code showing up.

I dont know what i’ve done wrong.

  • Is your Homey’s clock set correctly?
  • Have you set the correct timezone with TuYa?

The Time of Homey was about 20 minutes off the real time.

I restarted the Homey and the time is now correct.

The only thing i dont can find the settings of the timezone of Tuya. The location is set on The Netherlands, so thats correct. Dont know if that automatic the timezone.

Restarting the app could be a good start. Do you see values in the Hombli app?

You are able to add devices to Tuya?
You can control devices through the Tuya app on your phone or tablet?
You have created an IoT cloud project on the Tuya site?
Do you see the devices you want to control in the Tuya cloud project?
Can you connect to the Tuya cloud project from Homey?
