[APP][Pro] TP-Link Omada

Version 1.0.18 [LIVE]

First, thanks for the app.
But I seem to have a bit of unexpected behaviour. Or could be because I just got into Homey and home automation in general a few days ago.

I have Omada Controller running in a docker container and I can connect from Homey app without problem.

  1. It finds a lot of my device, but not everything. Even though they are in the devices list in Omada.
  2. If the settings of the devices are opened, so far all of them show as No Offline. Even the device I’m actively using to view Homey and Omada. In Omada they are in the the Online list. All devices do show an IP in the Homey app though,

So not sure if something is a bit strange or if I have the incorrect expectations/interpretation.

EDIT: regarding 2) I found it was indeed a misinterpretation on my end. No Offline apparently means not offline. Tested it by switching of my phone and then the status switched to Yes Offline and the icon turned red. But still confusing though having the term ā€œofflineā€ and the strike-through WiFi icon to indicate the device is in fact not offline.

It only shows clients for now. Support for EAPs will be added later.

The icon cannot be dynamically changed. The reason I chose ā€œOfflineā€ instead of ā€œConnectedā€ is because the capability will show up as an alarm when it’s set to Yes. So if it’s offline, it will show it as blinking red (Offline capability).

Allright, thanks for the quick reaction and explanation. I think I’m all sorted now.
(Well, actually I was trying to see if i could get an alert if a new/unknown device connected, but I already learned Omada does not support such a thing so have to find a way around that.)
